Given the intense focus on cleanup and restoration of the infrastructure and living areas of a region affected by a disaster, it is not surprising that mental health treatment for those affected by the life disruption and loss is something that is lacking. Unfortunately, the mental wellbeing of these people, who may be affected by PTSD, is never likely to receive adequate funding as it is an "invisible" issue that cannot be captured for the public with aerial footage. Instead it is something that will affect people differently and will appear after some time with different intensity for different individuals.
